Through a monthly survey of
a sampling of the nonagricultural establishments in North Carolina, the Current Employment Statistics (CES) program provides the foundation for the development of
estimates of all nonagricultural jobs, average weekly and hourly earnings,
and average weekly hours for production workers and non supervisory employees in manufacturing. Data are collected for the state and its Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA's). The program also provides the basis for the development of industry employment estimates on a monthly basis. A number of these series are available with
adjustments for seasonality.
