Getting Started

NC Profile is a program that provides diverse comprehensive data about the NC work force, including trends in layoffs, unemployment, new businesses, education, and benefits.

General Information includes general background data on population, labor force, family income, unemployment, industries, and wages.

Announced Business Closings and Permanent Layoffs lists data derived from a statewide survery of newspaper accounts of closings/layoffs, and from information supplied to the Employment Security Commission of North Carolina by the employing units experiencing the closing/layoffs.

Information of NC Industries includes information on the largest employers within an industry and employment and wage information by industry.

Information of NC Occupations includes information on the fastest growing occupations as well as employment statistics and wage information for each occupation.

Post High School Intentions shows projections of graduates in North Carolina, including continuing education, entering military, and entering the labor force.

Medicaid Statistics displays Medicaid expenditures annually by recipient group, by major medical service, for eldery, disabled and blind, and families and children.

Job Orders shows the number and types of jobs posted by the commission as available county-wide, the percentage distribution of each occupational catergory, the occupational skills necessary to perform the available jobs, and the wage ranges of the job orders received by the commission.

Occupational Employment Statistics Wage Information provides information on employment and wages across North Carolina, by occupation.
