Estimated Employment is the estimate of the total wage and salary employment in an occupation across the industries in which it was reported.
Response rate indicates the percentage of total schedules that were actually completed by the establishments.
The entry wage is the mean of the first third of the wage distribution.
The experienced wage is the mean of the upper two-thirds of the wage distribution.
Annual wages are calculated by multiplying the estimated hourly wage by 2,080, except for those occupations for which a valid hourly wage cannot be calculated due to a non-standard work year. Annual wage for those occupations is calculated directly.
These data represent wages across all industries. Wages within a given industry may vary.
Data were prepared from the 2009 Occupational Employment Statistics combined wage file.
